SANGER, CA (KMJ) – Initiative Foods packs organic and non-organic baby food for grocery retailers across the country.  But, last July a fire destroyed the plant, its inventory – costing people their jobs.

Thursday, less than a year later – Initiative Foods has reopened.

President John Ypma promises employees and customers a speedy comeback.  All-new equipment, the latest in technology and food processing, was custom designed and built in the U.S. and Europe for the reopening.

Initiative Foods says they will add up to 15 employees as production begins, with more to come in the next few months.
